I’m always on the look-out for new beauty products for sensitive skin. So when I spotted the L’Oreal Fine Flowers range on a 3-for-2 offer in Sainsburys I couldn’t resist getting a few bits to give it a go. I’ve been really spotty lately (which may be in part due to not eating well..) so having a proper routine in place might keep the bad skin at bay a bit. At least, that was my thought process!
Milk Make-Up Remover
This is probably my favourite of the products. It’s super simple to use, seems to get off most of my makeup in a couple swipes – and most importantly, doesn’t hurt my skin! At the moment I’m really prone to eczema around my eyes, and this doesn’t cause a flare-up. So, that’s a win in my book. A 400ml bottle will set you back £5.99, though there’s an offer on Boots at the moment for 1/3 off.
Again, something that doesn’t set off my skin is a winner. This is my go-to shower face wash at the moment, so it’s easy enough to slot into my routine. It’s soft and soothing, but actually feels cleansing, which is often my problem with thicker cream cleansers. If it doesn’t foam I don’t feel clean from it – but this foams up a good amount and a little goes a long way. 150ml is RRP at £3.99, but I can see it lasting a long while.
When there’s a 3-for-2 on, toner tends to be my ‘last pick’ product – I’ll be honest, I’m not really sure what it does! I use this after I remove my make-up. It does make my face feel a bit more fresh, but other than that I’ve not seen any big changes. But, then again, I never tend to with toner. If I could go back I’d give the cleansing wipes a go instead for when I’m out and about. The toner is also £3.99 per 400ml, so you get quite a lot for your money.
So, what did I think of the L’Oreal Fine Flowers range? Personally, I loved the milk cleanser, but that’s the only definite repurchase from the range. I’d skip the toner, and maybe mix up the face wash with something more spot-fighting. A bit of a mixed bag, but as none of it set off my eczema there’s no red flags either. If you suffer from dry skin it’s definitely worth a go.
