If you know me, you know gadgets are very much my ‘thing’. I love smartwatches, fancy kitchen tech… and anything that makes life that little bit easier – or motivates me a bit more! I’ve been round the houses a bit with smartphone technology. Anything from Pebble through to Apple Watches, but I always find myself coming back to FitBit. I’ve previously owned a FitBit Alta – but I wanted something that bit more to encourage me to get off my bum and move.
In all honesty, I find FitBit the easiest fitness trackers to deal with. The app is simple to use, it’s easy to track your steps and it automatically tracks certain exercises. In addition, I can also track my Yoga through the band. It’s a nice little addition that my other watches didn’t provide. My scales are also FitBit Aria, which means everything is in one handy place.
The Charge 2 also includes a heart-rate monitor. Unlike the Apple Watch I had before it isn’t really uncomfortable against my wrist – and it provides a more accurate idea of what I’m burning when.
How it’s helped me
Since I started using the Charge 2, I’ve definitely got more of an idea of how much extra I should be doing. It’s also nice to know that Yoga burns calories. I’ve consciously increased the number of steps I do a day – even if it’s only a little as I’m behind a desk most of the time!
I have big plans to increase my fitness and I think my band will really help – it helps me get motivated.
Though I was already a FitBit advocate, the Charge 2 is my favourite so far. I like the colours it comes in. I find it easy to wear, with a good lasting charge. With prices starting at £139.99 it definitely isn’t on the cheap side, but often there are promotions to get it for less – which is what I did. If you want to motivate yourself, the FitBit Charge 2 is a good accessory to help.
